Who We Are

The Museums and Historic Sites of Greater Cincinnati (MHS) is a community of small to mid-sized historic sites, libraries and museums that keeps the region’s history relevant through programing, collaboration, education and professional development for MHS member organizations. Every MHS member has unique stories and experiences to share with the public- teachers, students and history buffs alike. Museums and Historic Sites of Greater Cincinnati promotes:

  • Cultivation of identity and critical skills.

  • Creating the foundation for strong communities and promote economic growth.

  • Encouraging citizen engagement and leadership.

  • Preservation of our legacy.

MHS proudly supports the American Association of State and Local History’s History Relevance Campaign.

Benefits of joining MHS include:

We meet on the second Monday from 10 a.m. to noon, save July and December. Our in-person meetings are held every other month (Feb, April, June, August, October and December) at a different member site. Between the in-person meetings we host short Zoom "Check-ins" to see what new with our members. Interested in Joining MHS? Our annual membership fee is only $45 per organization!
